Nail Application & Removal
Nail Application & Removal Guide ♡
Your manicure, magnifique.
At Magnifique Nails, we recommend proper nail preparation for a beautiful, secure press-on manicure.
How to Apply Your Press-On Nails
Step 1 — Prep Your Natural Nails
Start with clean, dry hands. Gently push back your cuticles and lightly buff the surface of each natural nail with a fine-grit buffer to remove surface shine.
Avoid aggressive filing or thinning your natural nails.
Step 2 — Dehydrate Your Nails
Remove any nail dust, oils, and moisture using a nail dehydrator according to its instructions. Allow your nails to dry completely.
This helps create a clean surface for the nail glue to adhere to.
Step 3 — Apply Nail Glue
Select the correct press-on nail for each finger.
Apply a small, even amount of nail glue according to the manufacturer's instructions. Avoid getting glue on your skin or cuticles.
Step 4 — Press and Hold
Position the press-on near your cuticle without touching the skin, then gently lower it onto your natural nail.
Apply firm, even pressure for the time recommended by your nail-glue manufacturer.
Repeat for each nail.
Step 5 — Enjoy Your Manicure!
Allow the adhesive to set according to its instructions. Avoid unnecessary moisture exposure while it cures.
Your Magnifique Nails manicure is ready to complete your look!
How to Safely Remove Your Press-On Nails
Step 1 — Never Pull or Force Them Off
Do not peel, pry, or rip off your press-on nails. This can damage your natural nails.
Step 2 — Follow Your Nail Glue's Removal Instructions
Removal depends on the adhesive used.
For glue-on nails, acetone-based removal may be required. Apply acetone only as directed by the adhesive manufacturer, in a ventilated area, and keep it away from flames.
Warm soapy water and oil may help loosen some adhesive systems, but they do not reliably dissolve all nail glues.
Step 3 — Remove Gently
Only remove a press-on when the adhesive has released. Never force a nail that remains attached.
If the adhesive is still holding firmly, continue the manufacturer-recommended removal process.
Step 4 — Care for Your Natural Nails
Wash your hands, gently remove softened adhesive residue, and moisturize your nails and cuticles.
Give your natural nails time to recover if they feel sensitive or show signs of damage.
